The WhiteWave Foods Co. on Monday announced it was forming a joint venture with a Chinese dairy company.
Broomfield-based WhiteWave (NYSE: WWAV) will own 49 percent of the joint venture, while patner China Mengniu Dairy Co. Ltd. will own the rest. WhiteWave, which distributes organic dairy and produce throughout North America and Europe, said the joint venture is part of a strategy to reach other parts of the world.
