Denver, CO – August 23, 2017 – Marc Paolicelli, a long-time employee and Officer at RK, was recently promoted to Chief Customer Officer, making him part of a small but increasing number of executives that hold this influential role.

A Chief Customer Officer (CCO) is typically responsible for creating a customer-centric approach and driving it across an entire organization. This often involves removing boundaries and silos in order to create and implement a consistent and unified customer-oriented operating methodology throughout all of the organization’s departments, divisions and staff positions.

The CCO-type role is fairly common in Fortune 500 companies, but is newly emerging in Colorado’s construction and manufacturing markets. Paolicelli is pleased be among early adopters of customer experience initiatives in the construction industry, which is known for focusing on contractual terms before relationships.

Paolicelli states, “Creating the CCO position is RK’s way of telling customers that we intend to view all decisions and actions through the lens of creating a great customer experience—all the time. My new role is to help all RK business units evolve from focusing primarily on contract management to putting our undivided attention on how we treat customers, on communicating openly and on addressing their needs at every turn.”

CEO and Chairman Rick Kinning states, “Marc is one of the best at cultivating trust-based customer relationships. Under his leadership in the CCO role, I’m excited to see RK be one of the first in our industry to adopt a true customer-oriented mindset that puts relationships before contract signatures.”
